This traditional terrace was completely gutted and a new steel framed building was inserted. The ground plane is completely open over which a vertical glass riser containing bathrooms and stairs floats. The building terminates on a sunken black ‘grotto’ pool, which is wrapped in a fluid sculptural veil.
